The “Thai Chamber of Commerce” was established by a group of forward-thinking Thai merchants who had a vision to see a business association, similar to the association in the developed nations, that support Thai merchants and business owner by acting as a mediator between private and government sector to protect the nation’s interest and to promote the commerce of Thailand to be as developed as first-world nations. On 8 March B.E. 2476, the organization registered under the name of “Thai Chamber of Commerce”. The first head office was located in Captain Bush Lane, Si Phraya Road. Phraya Bhirombhakdi was the first chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.
